Add your records at Strato

When Strato runs your domain's DNS. Strato's menus are in German.

Add the records

  1. Sign in and go to Domains, then Domainverwaltung. Select the gear icon next to the domain and open the DNS tab.
  2. Under MX-Record verwalten, choose Eigener Mailserver, enter mx1.postpike.net. with a dot at the end, choose priority 10, and click Einstellungen übernehmen.
  3. Under TXT- und CNAME-Records verwalten, add the TXT and CNAME records. Enter only the prefix, such as _dmarc: Strato adds your domain. For the domain itself, leave the prefix empty.
Strato adds its own DMARC rule: choose Keine STRATO-DMARC-Regel before adding PostPike's _dmarc record. A domain has one SPF record, so PostPike's replaces Strato's. With Eigener Mailserver on, Strato no longer receives mail for the domain.
