Add your records at OVHcloud
When OVHcloud runs your domain's DNS.
Add the records
- In the Control Panel, go to Web Cloud, then Domain names. Select the domain and open the DNS zone tab.
- Remove OVHcloud's own mail records with ⋮ > Edit the entry or delete: the MX records mx0 to mx4.mail.ovh.net, and the SPF record with include:mx.ovh.com. Otherwise mail goes to either provider at random.
- Select Add an entry, choose the type, and fill in the subdomain and target from your domain's page. Leave the subdomain empty for the domain itself.
- End the MX and CNAME targets with a dot, such as mx1.postpike.net., or OVHcloud adds your own domain to them.
A TXT entry holds 255 characters, and the DKIM key is longer. Add that one in text mode instead, under Actions on my zone > Edit in text mode.
