Set up Thunderbird
Thunderbird on Windows, Mac, Linux and Android.
If the app asks for settings, these are the same for every PostPike mailbox. The username is your full email address.
Incoming server (IMAP)
imap.postpike.netPort
993Outgoing server (SMTP)
smtp.postpike.netPort
465Security is SSL/TLS for both. The password is your mailbox password, or an app password if you turned on two-step sign-in.
Thunderbird 150 and later
- Click the menu ☰, then Add Account, then Email.
- Fill in your full name and email address, and click Continue.
- Check that the settings Thunderbird found match the ones above, click Continue, and enter your password when asked.
If your domain has PostPike's autoconfig record, Thunderbird usually finds the settings by itself. To change them later, open Account Settings: Server Settings is for incoming mail, and Outgoing Server (SMTP) is for sending.
Older versions
- Open Account Settings, click Account Actions and choose Add Mail Account…
- Enter your details and click Continue.
- Click Manual Configuration, enter the servers above, and click Re-test.
Thunderbird for Android
- Add your email account in the app. It finds the settings for most addresses by itself.
- If it doesn't, enter the servers above by hand.
