Set up Apple Mail

iPhone, iPad and Mac. The setup profile does it in a few taps.

If the app asks for settings, these are the same for every PostPike mailbox. The username is your full email address.

Incoming server (IMAP)
imap.postpike.net
Port
993
Outgoing server (SMTP)
smtp.postpike.net
Port
465

Security is SSL/TLS for both. The password is your mailbox password, or an app password if you turned on two-step sign-in.

With the setup profile, on iPhone or iPad

  1. On the iPhone or iPad, open your settings page and tap Download the setup profile.
  2. Open Settings and tap Profile Downloaded.
  3. Tap Install at the top right and follow the prompts. You'll be asked for your password.
Install it within 8 minutes, or iOS deletes the download. With Stolen Device Protection on, the phone may only install it in a familiar place, such as home.

By hand, on iPhone or iPad

  1. Open Settings, then Apps, Mail, Mail Accounts and Add Account.
  2. Enter your email address and tap Next.
  3. Tap Add Other Account, then Mail Account.
  4. Enter your name, email address, password and a description, then tap Next.
  5. If Mail finds the settings, tap Done. If not, tap Next, choose IMAP, enter the servers above, tap Next and then Save.

On a Mac

  1. In Mail, choose Mail > Add Account.
  2. Choose Other at the bottom of the list, and click Continue.
  3. Enter your name, email address and password, and follow the instructions.
To change the settings later, choose Mail > Settings > Accounts, select the account and open Server Settings. Clear Automatically manage connection settings to set the port and Use TLS/SSL. The setup profile works on a Mac too: open the file, then confirm it in System Settings.
